In today's world it is impossible to not eat some sort of unhealthy food. The food companies claim that there food is healthy and it will make you lose weight, but actually it is just clever marketing. Most foods will contain some sort of ingredient that will harm your fat loss efforts. You are what you eat, everything that you consume will be utilised by your body in some way, let's make sure is not for fat storage.
The best way to make sure you are only eating healthy food is to only eat organic and unprocessed foods. Foods that haven't been processed are fruit and vegetables, potatoes, nuts, eggs, chicken. Foods like these can still be made unhealthy if you by them in packets, which have added sugar or artificial sweeteners, etc. So make sure you only get this food fresh and straight off the tree or out of the ground. If anything else has been added to the food to make it last longer or taste better, it will just be store as fat and decrease your health.
Many foods claim to have no sugar. This is good, but what is worse is that they replace the sugar with artificial sweeteners. Artificial sweeteners may contain no calories, but the contain much more harmful substances that can cause long term health problems, such as diabetes, strokes, cancer, heart problems, obesity. Especially stay away from aspartame, this artificial sweetener wasn't supposed to be allowed, in it's testing it gave many monkeys cancer within only a few months. So the next time you buy a diet drink or gum which claims to have no sugar, check the ingredients for aspartame.
Another thing to look out for is glucose syrup or fructose syrup. This is found in most cereals and cereal bars. The cereal made be made out of whole grains, but if they use glucose syrup to make it, it's definitely not good for you any more. Glucose syrup is one of the worst causes of obesity. So many people see that they are eating wholegrain food and think that it is healthy, but what the don't realise is that the glucose syrup used is deadly. If you ever want to properly lose weight, keep glucose syrup out of your diet.
These are just two ingredients that food companies use to make products. There are many more out there. Always check the ingredients on your food, if there is anything unusual, that doesn't sound natural, it's probably some cheap ingredient they have added, that is as far from healthy as they can be.
